What are the eligibility criteria for returns?

  • You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return or exchange your order. 
  • Items must be unwashed and show no signs of wear.
  • Items should still have all original tags attached. 

What are your return methods?

Canada and USA

For Canada and the USA, we offer three return methods: exchange, store credit, and refund.

For our customers outside the USA and Canada, we only offer refunds at the moment.

  • We offer one exchange per order.
  • Exchanges must be for the same style and color item as originally purchased.

Store Credit:

  • Store credits are final sale, which means they cannot be converted back into the original payment method once issued.
  • Store credits are sent via email in the form of a code that you can enter at checkout. 
  • All store credit are issued in USD. If you place an order in another currency and return it for store credit, your return will be converted to USD based on the conversion rate at the time of order processing.

Original Payment Method (Refund):

  • A return label is provided for a $9 USD flat rate shipping fee (Canada and USA only), which is deducted from the total refund. If you prefer to use your own postage, please contact us here
  • Orders paid with a gift card will be refunded back to the same gift card.
  • A $9 USD fee will charged for "return to sender" package refund requests and for unclaimed packages.
  • Returns valued over $300 may be subject to a 10% handling/restocking fee.

Important Note: 

  • Items marked as final sale cannot be returned or exchanged. 
  • Items returned without tags and/or packaging will be subject to a $3.95 re-packaging fee.
  • Please do not place a new order to exchange your item(s). An order is considered an exchange only if it is processed through our return portal. 
  • Please make sure to complete a return/exchange request in our portal before sending a package back. American Tall is not liable for exchanges or returns sent without approval.
  • Returns and exchanges are processed once they have been delivered and inspected by our team. 

What items are Final Sale?

Selected promotions may state "final sale" or "no returns" on our website and/or in our advertising. Items marked as such, including socks, boxers, swimwear with liners, and gift cards, cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • If an item is marked as final sale, this information will be displayed in red under the "Add to Cart" button on the product page. 

  • Gift cards and items marked as final sale for hygienic reasons will have this information listed in the product description tab on the page.


Do you have a Holiday Return Policy?

Our Holiday return policy is active from November 1st through December 31st. Items can be returned to American Tall until January 15th of the following year or within 30 days from delivery, whichever is longer.

  • Gift orders: If you receive an item from American Tall as a gift, we have a separate return portal for gift orders, which you can access here.
